I’ve been using Sage, more frequently than I intended to as my RSS feed reader. Sage is a lightweight atom and rss feed reader extension for firefox. The default style feels a bit clunky, not too easy on the eyes, but it allows for custom css styles, and there are many available. The one I currently use is Akzente.
